Last year I wasn't able to do much but overthink and stress about what my future holds. I don't know why; but that seemed to be the theme for 2016. As we are starting out in 2017 I've found it easy to stop myself from falling into old habits. So lets make 2017 a year for self growth and endless possibility, If we focus on all the bad things that happen we will never see the good things that we've been blessed with. As you are having a hard time finding those good things, think about the small things you've done. Have you ever wanted to do more with your day or felt like you've wasted it? well these small things could make a huge difference. I know it's hard to find those small thing but you've done them I promise. I've found out that finding these little things are easier when you make a list, so I've made a list of 6 small things
1. Prayer - Have you prayed, starting your day off with a thoughtful and grateful pray can help you have a good day and attitude
2. Make someone smile- Having the chance to make someone else happy will make you happy, you can do this with light witty convocations or just a simple smile.
3. I love you- People today are so wrapped up in what going on in the world that it makes you forget to simple say "I love you."
4. Charity work- Go and do things for others this doesn't mean give a large amount of money to them, but simple your time and company. You have no idea how much this little thing could mean to someone.
5. Learn something new- If this is just a random fact or an answer for that mid-term you've been dying over, Just know you've taken something from the day.
6. Family- Everyone has a different type of family and inside are different types of relationships, but regardless that's your family so reach out and do each of the 5 things for your family.
This is the list I've made for myself, I try my hardest to follow it but I'm not perfect and neither are you. It's okay to have bad days but don't get stuck in the bad days, when you have the power to make it better, make it better! ~ LaurenLand
